The FIU Diving & Boating Safety Office supports the University research and academic mission by providing classrom and aquatic training in accident prevention and management in the aquatic and marine environment.
The courses offered by the Dive & Boat Safety include CPR, First Aid, Oxygen Administration, Heat Stress Management. CPR and First Aid Classes are open to all members of the University community who wish to become certified or simply learn basic First Aid. All CPR and First Aid Courses are offered under the authority of an agreement between the American Red Cross and the Risk Management & Environmental Health & Safety Department. The Dive & Boating Safety officer also administers the Automatic Defibrilator Program.
