Occupational Safety and Health Act – Title 29 CFR - Subpart G – 1910.95 Occupational Noise Exposure, (29 CFR 1910.95).

 Exposure to high noise levels from activities encountered in the working environment over extended periods can result in both short term and long-term hearing loss. These losses can result in hearing impairment that makes understanding conversations with others difficult unless voices are raised or hearing aids are employed. To reduce exposure to loud noises speak with your supervisor, spend as little time as possible in the noise area, wear the provided earplugs or muffs.
